Capcom recently announced they would be charging $50 for Resident Evil: Revelations. Maybe this reasonable with the game's hefty 4GB cartridge, but the 3DS already saw an increase in software prices when the system debuted; $40 for a portable game is already seen as expensive. Capcom's PR sorcery spins the price jump in a way that claims the game's 20 hours of gameplay and intense visuals are worthy of a console game experience. I must question if "trying really hard" garners a price jump, do we get a price cut when Capcom phones it in? More likely, Capcom has realized 3DS sales have been tepid and are looking to increase profits the only way they can -- increasing hte price.
Go Google "do a barrel roll". Don't ask, just go do it.
