This update will be on the shorter side because my internet connection has only been intermittent this week. Occasionally people ask (or assume) Nerd Rage is based on some real-life adventures. I hate to disappoint, but I specifically created a comic with two main characters because neither of them are me.
Every time I have to call Charter (their automated service says PC Magazine ranked them fastest in the country. Obviously this quote was followed by "when their service is occasionally up."), whether I talk to an agent or I talk to a robot I'm instructed to unplug my router for 30 seconds. I'm not grandma. I'm not a first time caller. I've been doing this all week without your assistance; I could do this without you on the other end. Then they start asking about the number of lights on my modem. In this particular case I was asked multiple times, as though I might be mistaken or the number of lights may have changed since my last response. I can hardly give a proper response without trying to shout it in my best Patrick Stewart:
Normally I include more interesting links here, but with the passing of my grandma and limited internet access, I've been somewhat disconnected from news sources. Stay tuned.
