One of the neat things about Pokemon X and Y is that you can open trades and battles with complete strangers at any given time. Awesome.
A stranger requested I take their Kadabra. I know my way around a Pokemon game, I know how Kadabra works: the only way to make it evolve is to trade. I accepted and as it evolved I realized just how much trust this stranger, possibly a child, was putting in me to trade it back and not just walk away. After it evolved, I put up it back up for offer and we exchanged back. I was rewarded for my civility with a new squirtle and omanyte.
