Some maybe-possibly-required reading for new readers. Or lazy readers. Or forgetful readers.

There's not a lot I can say about this week's comic yet. Fortunately for this block of text, interesting news crops up as soon as I break into a story arc. It's like clock work.

Nintendo held one of its personal Nintendo Direct events this week. The last one revealed a new generation of 3DS Pokemon games. This one was all about the Wii U.

Headlining websites and fanboy dream projects everywhere, they're releasing a slightly-retweaked Wind Waker. Quite possibly the best Zelda ever. They also announced that a new Mario and Zelda were in development but no information would be available at this time -- more of a given than actual news.

There's also news that Virtual Console support is coming to the Wii U, including the new addition of GBA games. Cool news if you own a Wii U and don't already own Nintendo's back catalogue (or have some interest in repurchasing it.)

...Oh, and then there's the Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei crossover. Words cannot begin to describe how much this confuses me. What is this? How does this even work? Fire Emblem comes from a company that tries hard to keep its franchises family friendly, whereas Shin Megami Tensei is a much darker, Persona-spawning beast. Considering we don't even know what genre this is, it's too soon to cast any judgment. And weird combinations have turned out great -- Nobunaga's Ambition x Pokemon, anyone?

But seriously, Fire Emblem and SMT?
