In other Pokemon news:
Generation 6 is coming! I haven't even played Black & White 2, but I'm already excited. A lot of people are making cracks about how X and Y aren't colors, despite the fact 'Diamond' and 'Pearl' are not colors. And beyond Gen 1 and Black & White, the others are precious metals or stones. You can argue that Gold and Silver are colors...but when's the last time you identified an object as "Sapphire colored" instead of blue? When have you used "Crystal colored" in a sentence beyond this one? Pokemon versions are about pairs and opposites. Real Diamond and Pearl would be iridescent-white and kinda-clear-ish; structurally, though, diamonds are angular and geometric while pearls are smooth and round.
What impact will X and Y have on the game? The obvious guess would be two out of three dimensions. You know, as in 3D. The primary gimmick of this platform.
Others are convinced it's related to genetics. Maybe. There's a double helix in the Japanese logos. Wild speculation!
